Over the past year, more and more dental clinics have adopted digital solutions to manage patients, treatment plans and internal documents. Among the most-used modules in AtriumApp is the Treatment Plan, an essential tool in dentists' daily work. To improve how procedures are presented and to make communication with patients easier, AtriumApp is adding an important feature: downloading the treatment plan in two different formats.

This update is part of our development direction toward a digital dental treatment plan that is clearer, more flexible and easier to use in PDF format.

Why we introduced two grouping modes for the treatment plan

Every clinic has its own way of working. Some dentists prefer to view treatments structured by tooth, while others want an overview of the services performed. To cover both situations, we introduced two download modes:

1. Grouped by Tooth - the classic, structured view

This mode shows all the procedures associated with each tooth. It is ideal for:

  • presenting treatments in anatomical order;
  • reviewing complex work on a single tooth;
  • detailed conversations with the patient.

In the PDF, each tooth has its own section, which makes the document easy to follow and clear for the patient.

2. Grouped by Service - the new mode, perfect for reviewing the work

This mode offers a different perspective: the dentist can see each service (for example, scaling, fillings, crowns) and the list of all the teeth involved.

It is useful when:

  • you want to quickly see the types of procedures recommended;
  • you need to explain the order of treatments to the patient;
  • you are preparing a quote or cost estimate.

For many clinics, this grouping is more intuitive and offers an overview that is easier to read through in the PDF.

Why these improvements matter for dental clinics

A digital dental treatment plan is not just a document - it is a communication tool. The new formats bring concrete benefits:

  • they make dentist-patient conversations easier;
  • they help patients understand exactly what work is recommended;
  • they cut the time spent on repeated explanations;
  • they improve the quality of PDFs used for archiving or quotes;
  • they allow two different ways of reviewing the case.

For small and medium clinics, these details contribute to a better experience for patients and greater efficiency for the team.

A step forward in digitizing the patient record

The update is part of AtriumApp's mission to develop complete dental software that covers every need of a modern clinic: a digital patient record, a visual treatment plan, reports, commissions, electronic documents and online booking.

We continue to develop new features to give clinics tools that are easy to use, secure and efficient, tailored to everyday work.
